Market America | SHOP.COM, a global and award-winning e-commerce and product brokerage company, has recently announced a partnership with Bottom Line Concepts, a company that specializes in maximizing the benefits of the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) program. The ERC is a stimulus program established by the CARES Act designed to help businesses that retained their employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a tax credit that businesses can claim based on qualified wages and healthcare paid to employees.
Marc Ashley, President & COO of Market America Worldwide, said, “Our partnership with Bottom Line Concepts is a testament to our commitment to supporting businesses during these unprecedented times. By working together, we aim to help businesses navigate the complexities of the ERC program and secure the maximum benefits available, ultimately contributing to their resilience and success in the face of economic challenges.”
The ERC program offers potential credits for businesses that qualify, with credits of up to $26,000 per employee. The amount of the credit depends on whether the business also received funding from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). The ERC program is available for multiple years, including 2020 and 2021, and there is no limit on the funding available. Additionally, there are many ways for businesses to qualify for the program, including decreased revenue or partial/full shutdown of business operations.
“We’re excited to partner with Market America to help small businesses secure the credits they’re entitled to,” said Josh Fox, founder and CEO of Bottom Line Concepts. “With access to capital becoming more expensive for small businesses, it’s critical for reputable tax recovery consultants to form these partnerships and educate companies nationwide on the ERC program and their eligibility.”
If a business experienced a change in business hours, partial or full suspension of business operations, shutdowns of supply chains or vendors, reduction in services offered, reduction in workforce, a disruption in business, inability to visit a customer’s job site, suppliers unable to make deliveries of critical goods or materials, additional spacing requirements for employees and customers due to social distancing, change in job roles/functions, tasks or work that couldn’t be done from home or while transitioning to remote work conditions, or lack of travel or lack of group meetings, they may potentially be eligible for the ERC program.
The process for businesses to take advantage of the ERC program involves lead generation, client success, data modeling and quality review, client confirmation and signoff, and client closeout and submission to the IRS. Bottom Line Concepts has a 14-year track record of success, with over $5 billion in ERC claims and recovered money for clients to date, and over 35,000 ERC clients.
The ERC filing deadlines for eligible employers claiming a credit for any quarter in 2020 is April 15, 2024, and for any quarter in 2021 is April 15, 2025.
Market America | SHOP.COM’s partnership with Bottom Line Concepts to help businesses take advantage of the ERC program is a valuable opportunity for businesses. By identifying prospective clients, sharing the ERC opportunity and contract, and onboarding clients with Bottom Line Concepts, businesses can take advantage of the expertise and experience of a company that has a proven track record of success in maximizing the benefits of the ERC program.
