HOUSTON, TEXAS – Rapp & Krock, PC, a business law firm in Houston, Texas serving individuals, startups, and small/medium-sized businesses, recently expanded its team by hiring three new attorneys in two different practice groups. Bradley K. Jones and Jaclyn Barbosa are joining the firm’s business litigation group, and Victor Santana joins the firm’s Probate, Estates, Elder law, and Trusts group.
Brad Jones joins the firm from Baker Hostetler, LLP where he spent over a decade representing businesses in matters involving commercial litigation, debt collection, creditor rights, employment, non-compete and trade secrets. As a senior litigator, Brad adds his expertise and knowledge to the firm’s experienced litigation team to serve the firm’s growing number of business clients.
Brad graduated from The University of Texas where he earned his bachelor’s degree in government with a minor in philosophy. He later earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston where he was the associate editor of the Corporate Counsel Review. Brad clerked for Magistrate Judge Mary Milloy at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Jaclyn Barbosa joins Rapp & Krock from Hunton Andrews Kurth, where she focused her practice on labor and employment, commercial litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. Her experience includes federal and state court actions involving harassment, discrimination, breach of contract fraud, tortious interference, negligence, and Deceptive Trade Practices claims.
With a background in employment law, Jaclyn advises employers on employment disputes, tort claims, wage and hour issues, employment policies and handbooks, fair credit reporting, restrictive covenants, and transactional matters.
Jaclyn is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, a minor in Business, and a cognate in Law. Jaclyn received her J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston. She worked her way through law school as a case clerk at Hunton Andrews Kurth for various practice groups, including labor and employment, bankruptcy and restructuring, litigation, commercial law, mass tort, and probate.
The firm also welcomes Victor Santana as the newest member of the firm’s Probate, Estates, Elder law, and Trusts group. Victor’s practice focuses on estate planning and administration, long-term planning, guardianship, elder law, and probate.
Victor attended The University of Houston where he graduated cum laude with his bachelor’s degree in political science and economics. He later earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston. During law school, Victor participated in the Lower Income Taxpayer Clinic (LITC) and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Clinic (VITA). Prior to graduating, he was a clerk at American International Group (“AIG”).
