Xakia Technologies expands its operations in EMEA as demand heats up for Xakia, its legal matter management platform.
Melbourne, Australia, 10 February 2022 – Xakia Technologies Pty Ltd, a global legal technology company today announced the appointment of Dan Wales as VP – EMEA, to head its continued expansion across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa and support the rapid demand by in-house legal teams for Xakia. With headquarters in Melbourne, Australia, and Kansas City, USA, Dan is located in London, United Kingdom, and reports to CEO, Jodie Baker in Australia.
Industry peers refer to Dan as a ‘data evangelist’ and ‘solution innovator’ in the delivery of data-driven solutions, and prior to Xakia Technologies he founded DW Reporting – later acquired by BigHand – establishing the business as the ‘de-facto’ provider of software agnostic data solutions within the global legal sector. Dan is also the founder and CEO at Oliella Partners, a consultancy firm to the global legal industry.
Dan Wales, VP – EMEA, Xakia Technologies said, “Having spent decades assisting law firms and building LegalTech that streamlines workflows and increases operational efficiencies and profitability, I’m excited to join Xakia Technologies to help General Counsel and in-house legal teams in driving forward the same. Xakia is a fantastic solution used by an impressive number of household names and I believe its recognition as one of 19 Representative Vendors listed in the 2021 Gartner® Market Guide for Corporate Legal Matter Management validates its position in the market.”
Commenting on the appointment Jodie Baker, CEO, Xakia Technologies said: “The growth of our client base in EMEA over the past 12 months demonstrates the need for a seriously simple in-house legal matter management platform. LegalTech need not be costly and complex to deploy. Xakia removes adoption barriers and is democratising the technology, making it available to everyone, with ease of scalability, usability, and affordability. Dan’s appointment will play a critical role in growing our business and supporting in-house legal teams in the EMEA region.”
Xakia is a ‘Legal Hub’ for connected and impactful teams of any size or industry. The platform is built around four key features: legal matter management, legal intake and triage, legal spend and external counsel management, and legal data analytics and reporting.
For legal teams across EMEA and globally, Xakia is the only multi-lingual platform in the market configurable in English, Japanese, Spanish, French, Danish, Dutch, and Portuguese (Brazil). For global companies with multiple languages and users, the platform can be configured to offer more than one language so that all internal and business clients, and legal team members can operate in their language of choice.
